Who Qualifies For The Bursary Or College Student Loan From NSFAS?
The National Student Financial Aid Scheme (NSFAS) has officially opened the 2025 application procedure.
Applications are now open and can shut on fifteen December 2024.
*** Who qualifies for NSFAS funding
To qualify for NSFAS funding, an applicant should fulfill the subsequent requirements:
• Be considered a South African citizen or copyright who originates from a home having a combined gross residence income that does not exceed R350 000 per annum.
• Persons with disabilities qualify if their combined household earnings will not exceed R600 000 per annum.
• SASSA recipients automatically qualify for funding and want not submit any proof of earnings.
*** Loan Scheme for the Missing Middle
The NSFAS Loan Scheme for the missing middle is open to all South African citizens and permanent people from homes with combined R350 000 and R600 000 per annum.
Applicants are reminded to deliver the right Id Document numbers, names, and surname, as mirrored within their South African ID.
NSFAS only funds people who are learning or plan to study at a general public university or TVET college in South Africa.
All students who wish to study in any of the public universities and TVET colleges should apply timeously and nsfas 2025 not to wait until the last day.
Learners do not have to wait for matric results to apply for NSFAS. They should apply now and avoid delays in the processing of their application.
